The following is a summary of Commission activities during
the previous quarter.
1. CROSSTIMBERS STEAKHOUE AND
BUFFET: The Commission continues to oversee the the
construction and development of infrastructure for the
CrossTimbers Restaurant. We are anticipating a Fall
2006 opening for the Restaurant. The Commission has
hired a Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day
operations of the Restaurant. Currently, construction is the
major activity happening now. Within the next few weeks we
anticipate selecting contractors for the parking lot.
2. TRIBAL CASINO: The
Commission continues to work with the Tribe on the
development of a Tribal Casino located on the Tribal Complex
grounds. Construction has been delayed and will resume
shortly. Construction of the facility and the
development of necessary protocols are the main priorities.
3. ANADARKO INDUSTRIES:
Anadarko Industries, LLC (AI) is a Native American, Tribal
owned, 8(a) certified, small disadvantaged business. The
Wichita and Affiliated Tribes are developing AI as the
cornerstone of an economic development plan. This plan will
provide college educations for tribal members and rebuild
the economic foundations of the communities. The strategy
for the success of AI is one of building long-term
partnerships with the best companies and providing solid
delivery capabilities.
