Child Care Development Program / CCDF

notice for child care development center clients with overdue accounts:

To any and all who may owe a balance to the Wichita Child Development Center between the dates of October 2013-November 2017-

  •  All accounts must be brought current by January 31st 2018.

 

  • Accounts that are not zero balance or do not have a payment plan in place with at least one good faith payment made by January 31st, 2018, will be submitted to SMALL CLAIMS COURT.

 

  • You will not only be responsible for your balance owed, but court costs as well. To avoid Small Claims Court proceedings, you must contact the Wichita Child Development Center Director at (405) 247-2167 before January 1st, 2018.

The CCDF program provides child care assistance to families residing within the following Counties: Caddo, Grady, Oklahoma and Comanche (City of Lawton only). The Program provides training for CPR and First Aid for our providers.

Quality childcare is extremely important for our children and our families. Classes and trainings are available. For more information, please contact the director.  You may also refer to our informational sheet.

The CCDF Program also has a Lending Library for all CCDF Providers for the children in their care. A variety of items are available. We have books to promote literacy and many educational learning materials for the enrolled Wichita & Affiliated Tribes children in childcare.

Mission Statement of the CCDF Program

  • To assist children and families deemed as eligible, who are enrolled with any Federally Recognized Tribe.
  • To assist families through job referrals for employment with the intent of helping them to become self-sufficient.
  • To assist families in obtaining quality child care, thereby making the transition from welfare to work more successful.

 

Objectives of the CCDF Program

  • To assist the families of enrolled members of any Federally Recognized Tribe with childcare payments.
  • To provide referrals to families for providers.
  • To insure that the childcare facilities are safe and have a healthy environment.
  • To provide Child Care Center class information to all providers.
  • To improve the quality of child care.

 

Requirements for Application for Childcare Assistance:

  • Wichita & Affiliated Tribes Child Care Application- Required Documents for Application
  • Letter on DHS letterhead stating childcare assistance approval or denial
  • Parents must be working, training or enrolled in an education program
  • Must meet Program income guidelines and present income verification for all household members
  • Work or school schedule for adult household members
  • Enrollment verification for children (CDIB card)
  • Social Security cards for children
  • Proof of Residence

 

Requirements for Childcare Providers

  • Wichita & Affiliated Tribes Childcare Provider Registration
  • Must be Eighteen Years or Older
  • Must have current CPR/First Aid Training Card
  • Submit a Valid Drivers License
  • Submit a Valid Social Security Card
  • Schedule and Complete a Home Visit
  • Complete a Positive Criminal Background Check
  • Other documentation may be needed upon request of the Child Care Program Director
