Operations & Maintenance (Plumbing, Septic Tank, Hot Water Tank and HVAC Repair)

The Operations and Maintenance Assistance program helps enrolled tribal members with essential services such as plumbing, hot water heater, septic tank and HVAC repairs.

Plumbing Repair and Septic Tank Cleaning

Operations and Maintenance Assistance helps enrolled tribal members with the cost of basic plumbing repaircosts. It is up to the client to find a vendor to fix their plumbing.Septic Tank Cleaningis also available. It is up to the client to find a vendor to clean their septic tank. The limitof these two types of assistanceis $500.00,which is for both O&M and Septic Tank Cleaning assistance.  It is the client's responsibility to provide the following documentation:

  • Must provide documentation of home ownership or documentation of purchasing home.
  • Homeowner must be an enrolled tribal member with CDIB card.
  • Must have a completed and signed application in the Health Department.
  • Invoice is to be sent to the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes Health Department.
  • If applying for a reimbursement see below*

 

O & M Application

 

HOT WATER TANK ASSISTANCE

Assistance with hot water tanks isavailable for enrolled tribal members who need to purchase a hot water heater due to the hot water tank going out.A limit of $500.00is set for this assistance. If the amount for the tank and installation exceeds this amount, the remaining balance is to be paid from the Direct Client Services line item*.

  • Must provide documentation of home ownership or documentation of purchasing home.
  • Homeowner must be an enrolled tribal member with CDIB card.
  • Must have a completed and signed application in the Health Department.
  • Invoice is to be sent to the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes Health Department.
  • If applying for a reimbursement see below*.

 

HEATING, VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) ASSISTANCE

HVAC assistance is available for enrolled tribal members. This assistance is for basic repairs to a HVAC unit. There is alimit of $1,000.00*.  Any amount over this amount will need to be paid by the homeowner and the receipt attached to the application before being processed*.  It is up to the client to find a vendor to fix HVAC problems. Also, it is the client's responsibility to provide the following documentation:

  • Must provide documentation of home ownership or documentation of purchasing home.
  • Homeowner must be an enrolled tribal member with CDIB card.
  • Must have a completed and signed application in the Health Department.
  • Invoice is to be sent to the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes Health Department.
  • If you apply for a reimbursement*, the receipt needs to be brought in so that it can go with the rest of the assistance documents to be processed for payment.

 

*If the client pays the bill or invoice out of their own pocket for the type of assistance for which they applied, they can be reimbursed for whatever amount was paid for the bill or invoice.  If this amount exceeds the limit for reimbursement, the reimbursement will only be up to the allowable cost of assistance for that type of assistance.  A receipt or receipts have to be brought in so that they will be attached to the application to be processed for payment.
