Family Violence Prevention and Services

The Family Violence Prevention and Services (FVPS) is funded through the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families.  The FVPS Program is also known as the Domestic Family Violence Program.  The program goals are to promote non-violence among families and to provide community awareness on the issue that surround domestic violence.  The program goals is to locate a safe environment by providing assistance with shelter, utilities, transportation, relocation, clothing, food, protective orders, and advocacy.  In addition, families are provided referrals for individual or group counseling, legal counseling, and community resources.  A safety plan is completed with the client.
