The Wichita Annual Dance Committee is taking RFPs for providing meal services for the 2021 Annual Dance which will be held August 12-15. Respondents will be responsible for preparing and serving three meals to an estimated 900 people, (225 on Thursday, 375 on Saturday and 300 on Sunday), and for cleaning the kitchen and dining area and provide all pots, pans and cooking utensils. The meal schedule is 6:00 PM on Thursday, and 5:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The total fee for providing these services is $1200. The Committee will purchase all food, beverages, plates, bowls, cups, napkins and cutlery.

Wichita Veterans Needed

The Wichita Annual Dance Committee is looking for veterans who would be willing to help with the morning flag raising during the 2021 Wichita Annual Dance. We need at least two veterans to conduct the flag raisings at 8:00 AM on August 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th.

2021 Wichita Annual Dance

The Wichita Annual Dance will be held from Thursday, August 12, 2021 thru Sunday, August 15, 2021.  The 2021 Wichita Annual Dance will continue as in previous years.  A flyer with times and events will be put out in late June.  All inquiries regarding this years Wichita Annual Dance can be directed to Kay Ahtone at (405) 247-2425 ext. 199 or Beth Parker at (405) 247-2425 ext. 117. 


Thanks to the Wichita Annual Dance Committee, as they prepare to get ready for this year's dance.  We hope you all will come out and join us this year.  We have lost a lot in the last year with COVID-19 and while the Wichita Annual Dance is open to everyone, I strongly encourage all of our Wichita people to get their regalia ready and let's have a good dance to heal our people and our community and to be thankful the culture the Creator has blessed us with.

Wichita Tribal Princess

Wichita Tribal Director Tara Tartsah Clark is accepting applications for young women seeking

the title of 2021-2022 Wichita Tribal Princess. Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 21

years old. Must be an enrolled or descendent of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes. Deadline will be 

May 14, 2021 you must submit a short essay why you want to be the wichita tribal Princess and what

is your expectation of being the Tribal Princess.
