The Wichita and Affiliated Tribes partner with Indian Health Service (IHS) and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) to provide quality healthcare to Wichita enrolled members as well as the Native American communities within the following counties: Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Grady, Harmon, Jackson, Jefferson, Kiowa, Stephens, and Tillman.

Our first objective is to provide awareness of possible health risks to avoid, and physical activities as a preventative measure against chronic diseases including diabetes.

Our second objective is to provide an assessment to those clients with a chemical dependency and/or mental health issue and help utilize resources to rehabilitate those individuals.

Alzheimer’s Disease Program Initiative

The Alzheimer’s Disease Program Initiative (ADPI) goal is to strengthen home and community-based systems by implementing sustainable dementia-capable person-centered care to Native Elders living with Alzheimer’s Disease or Alzheimer’s Disease Related Dementias and the individuals that care for them.

Community Health Aide Program

The Community Health Aide Program (CHAP) will provide the resources needed to bring Health Care Providers ( Oral, Behavioral, and Primary Health) to the Wichita People.
