About Us

The Juvenile Services Program and Tribal Youth Programs are here to serve youth and their families.

We aim to provide preventative resources in order to improve the quality of life for all tribal youth and in turn, our entire community.

Juvenile Services Program (JSP)

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an enrolled member of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes
  • 12-18 years old
  • Deemed ‘at risk’ of juvenile delinquency
  • Be willing to be an active participant in case plan

Services Provided

  • Referrals and transportation to counseling and substance abuse appointments
  • Court advocacy when applicable
  • Case planning and management
  • Incentives for progress on case plan
  • Limited financial assistance
  • School support and advocacy
  • Cultural support and access to cultural activities

After School Youth Program

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an enrolled member of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes OR be a Wichita descendant Kindergarten-6th grade student at Anadarko Public Schools, and have the ability to follow appropriate behavior expectations.

Services Provided

  • After school care
  • Language and cultural activities
  • Physical activity and nutrition education
  • Incentive field trips
  • Homework assistance
  • Education tutoring when appropriate
  • Arts and Crafts

Summer Youth Program

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an enrolled member of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes OR be a Wichita descendant Kindergarten-6th grade student at Anadarko Public Schools, and have the ability to follow appropriate behavior expectations.

  • Positive extracurricular activities during summer break
  • Oakridge Day Camp activities
  • Language and cultural activities
  • Physical activity and nutrition education
  • Incentive field trips
  • Arts and Crafts

Tribal Youth Program (TYP)

The Wichita and Affiliated Tribes Tribal Youth Program is designed for all native youth, ages 12-17, with preference being given to Wichita tribal members. The purpose of this program is to assist with educational expectations, minimize youth truancy, drop-out rates, delinquency, teen pregnancy, drugs use, depression and suicide through prevention, intervention, and counseling to increase a youth’s leadership potential.

Our Goals & Services

  • Provide extra-curricular activities that enhance the youth’s potential.
  • Teach future focused life skills.
  • Provide incentive trips to ensure engagement.
  • Provide positive group activities to enable the youth to form strong bonds with their peers and community.
  • Referrals to mental health services when necessary.
  • Culture classes and activities to enrich and reinforce that ‘culture is prevention.’
  • School and educational support.
