The Wichita & Affiliated Tribes 2% Transportation Planning Program (TPP) objectives are :
- To analyze road projects within the tribal jurisdiction and prioritize these projects based on available funding
- To improve the road system that serves tribal members located within the Tribes jurisdictional area which is located in Southwest Oklahoma and includes all parts of Caddo County, a small portion of the Northwest Section of Grady county, the Southwest corner of Canadian County, the Southwest corner of Blaine County, and a small portion of the East sections of Custer and Washita Counties
- It is the priority of the Wichita & Affiliated Tribes Transportation Department to improve the health, education, economic, and employment status of the Tribal members while striving to preserve and promote the traditional value and cultural customs of the Tribal Membership
- Address tribal development of a comprehensive tribal transportation plan that will address both tribal needs and tribal safety for its membership
- Assess road/bridge conditions and other transportation needs
- Participate in transportation planning with other tribal governments, local, state, and federal agencies
- Encourage community participation in the development of any proposed plan for improvements and /or projects
