The Wichita and Affiliated Tribes Social Services Department would like to announce the release of the Emergency Assistance application for the fiscal year 2026. We would like to thank the Wichita Executive Committee for prioritizing these services which allows us to continue to assist the Wichita Tribal Members. With the current government shutdown and the upcoming suspension of SNAP benefits that will affect households nationwide we would like to give notice that there are a few changes on the application so that we are able to assist as many households as possible. We have taken the economic changes and upcoming holiday season in mind as well as those households who are deemed vulnerable (elder, disabled household members, and young children age 5 and younger) and have made the adjustments to the eligibility requirements.
Applications may be assessed online on the tribe’s website (click here) or by request at 405-247-8620. Applications can be submitted in person at the Family and Children Services Building or by email to: ARPAdepartment@wichitatribe.com
